DIPLOMA IN HIGHER EDUCATION (PGDHE)
The programme
has been visualized and developed in response to the recommendations
of the National Policy of Education (1986) with a view
to providing the necessary knowledge, understanding and
skills pertaining to higher education for university and
college teachers. The UGC has recognized the programme
as equivalent to two refresher courses in education and
as an orientation course for disciplines other than education.
The programme is meant for regular teachers in universities,
colleges and other institutions of higher learning; people
with a postgraduate degree in any subject with at least
II division; and professional degree holders in areas
such as engineering and medicine. |
